She may have broken a thousand hearts when she left the UK, but Bollywood was where Sophie Choudry, singer-turned-VJ-turned-actress' heart was set.

And Sophie truly is what she preaches. Referring to the episode in which her co-star in the film Money Hai To Honey Hai, Govinda slapped a man for misbehaving with a woman on the sets, Sophie avers, "That's how all such men should be dealt with – a tight slap." That she herself is made of sterner stuff comes forth when she adds, "If such a thing had happened with me, I would have taken action myself, for I don't believe in girls putting up with any kind of harassment. They just shouldn't."
Back to work, with Money Hai To... ready for release, Sophie informs that she will also be seen in Sanjay Gupta's Alibaug where "my role's different from the regular glamorous ones." Besides this, there's her new album that the fans can also look forward to.
Talking about films, we wonder how Sophie ends up doing minuscule roles in every movie? "It's not like I haven't been offered lead roles. But the banners weren't good enough. I'd rather play a small role in a big banner movie, than waste myself in a flick that may not get watched by people," she explains.
Is that why she chose to be a part of Pyar Ke Side Effects despite having to face good competition in Mallika Sherawat? "One has to be really insecure to fear competition. And thankfully, I just had one scene with Mallika in the movie. Besides, I'd shot much more but when I went for dubbing, I was shocked to see that my role was chopped by half. But still, with whatever little I did, I did manage to evolve as a winner after all," she asserts in reply to the umpteen comparisons drawn between the two actresses.
